In 2013, after the devastating Beaver Creek Fire swept through the forests in Hailey, Idaho, a nine-year old boy, asked a simple but powerful question: “How can we help the land heal?”
Inspired by youthful curiosity, and the desire to make a difference, our founder’s vision brought together scientists, community members, and land managers to take action. It was the spark that launched Deer Creek Nature, Inc. and the creation of the Fire Research Institute. That vision helped create a model to restore ecological balance, foster biodiversity, enhance wildlife habitats, and educate the next generation of land stewards.
Today, we have expanded our vision to harmonize our existence with the ecosystems of our broader universe.
As part of our ongoing commitment to harmonize human existence with the ecosystems of our universe, we produced a documentary exploring Space-Based Solar Energy- a visionary approach to clean limitless energy from orbit.
The Project reflects our dedication not only to restoring local ecosystems but also to advancing sustainable solutions that can benefit the planet on a global scale.
The documentary weaves science, innovation, and environmental stewardship, inspiring new perspectives on how humanity can thrive with nature- both here on Earth and beyond.
As part of our mission to harmonize human life with the ecosystems of our universe, Deer Creek Nature is proud to present Bright Harvest: Powering Earth from Space- a short film that tells the inspiring story of three Caltech scientists pioneering a breakthrough in sustainable energy.
Bright Harvest follows these visionary researchers as they develop and successfully demonstrate a proof-of-concept experiment for space-based solar power. Their work marks a critical step towards capturing clean, constant energy directly from orbit-offering a transformative solution to global energy.
Traditional solar energy on Earth is limited by weather, daylight hours, and available space, The documentary reveals how harvesting solar power from space can overcome these hurdles, providing limitless, sustainable energy to power our planet.
